Janine Barsoum, DO
Originally from Newtown Square, PA, Dr. Barsoum graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, PA. She went on to complete a B.S. in physiology from The Pennsylvania State University, and an M.S. in Molecular Biology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2000 and completed her OB/Gyn residency at Lankenau Hospital. She joined Women for Women in 2006 and became an active member of the residency teaching staff at Lankenau Hospital.
Dr. Barsoum's professional interests include minimally invasive alternatives to hysterectomy, treatment of fibroids, general and high risk obstetrics, and management of abnormal pap smears. Her passion lies in providing excellent, complete women's healthcare, while taking the time to educate and empower her patients.
Dr. Barsoum presently lives in Havertown with her husband Jeffrey Butcher, a colo-rectal surgeon, and their two children, Nicholas and Nora. She enjoys spinning, yoga, travel, and skiing.Awards:
